A gate takes a beating. It swings or slides every day, it hangs its whole weight off two hinges, and here on the Gulf Coast the bottom rail and the lock area sit in damp air all year. Sooner or later something lets go: a hinge snaps, a weld cracks, a post leans, or rust eats through the lock box until the latch won’t catch.
Most of the time the gate itself is fine and doesn’t need replacing. It needs the broken part cut out and new steel welded in, the frame squared back up, and a coat of paint so the repair lasts. That’s the work we do, and we bring the welder to you.
Gate sags or drags
A worn or broken hinge, a cracked weld at the hinge post, or a frame that’s racked out of square. We re-hang it level so it swings clear again.
Snapped or worn-out hinges
We cut off the old hinge, weld on new ones, and line them up so the gate closes where it should.
Latch won’t catch
Broken latches, keepers and strikes, or a latch that no longer lines up because the gate dropped. We fix the hardware mount and the reason it moved.
Rusted-out lock box
When rust eats the box around a lock, we cut out the rotten steel, weld in new metal around the lock and paint it to match.
Sliding gate problems
Broken brackets, loose guides and bent bottom rails on sliding gates. We weld new brackets on where the gate sits.
Leaning or rusted posts
Posts rusted at the base or knocked out of line. We reinforce or rebuild the base so the gate has something solid to hang on.
We work on swing gates, sliding driveway gates, walk gates, iron fence panels and security gates with mesh or bars. Residential or commercial, one hinge or a whole run of fence, small jobs are welcome.
If it’s something we can’t fix right, like a gate opener’s motor or wiring, we’ll tell you straight so you can call the right person.
